Professional installation of the new dishwasher is available as an optional service.This service may have an extra fee (see sales associate for price). Installation service includes disconnecting the existing dishwasher, installing the new dishwasher in the same location, using new connection hardware (available at the store), and verifying that the new unit is fully functional. Installation does not include drilling into certain countertop materials, such as granite or Corian.

The existing dishwasher is 24 inches wide and is built-in to the cabinet (fully enclosed on back, top, and sides).

The existing dishwasher is not installed under a sink.

There must be no buildup of floor (i.e. tile, additional vinyl installed over old vinyl) around the existing dishwasher and there must be at least 34 ¼ inches of clearance from the floor to the underside surface of the countertop.

The electrical wiring for the dishwasher is a dedicated 110/120-volt three wire grounded electrical line, or a grounded 3 wire plug electrical outlet protected by a dedicated 15 or 20-amp circuit breaker or time delay fuse. The installer will not be able to install or relocate an outlet.

The drain hose for the existing dishwasher connects to a vent – called an “air gap” – usually located on the sink or on the counter or wall near the sink.  If an “air gap” is not required by local code, the dishwasher drain hose must be connected to either the disposer or a “waste tee” under the sink at least 18 inches above the floor level.

* If dishwasher is to be installed under corian or granite countertops, side mounting brackets must be used to secure unit to the side cabinets, rather than the underside of the countertop.  Please check the specifications with your sales representative or check with the manufacturer.  Links to the manufacturers we install for can be found on the "About Us" page.

These key conditions MUST exist to assure proper installation of the dishwasher.
